TURNAs-2026: HAVELSAN’s ADVENT COP, VMS and TALAY Tie Turkish Unmanned Systems into One Force
HAVELSAN’s role in Türkiye’s National Unmanned Naval Systems Exercise-2026 (TURNAs-2026) went beyond putting platforms in the water. The company combined national command-and-control, autonomy and video-management solutions so that unmanned systems at sea, on land and in the air could be run as a joint force.
Three software layers behind the exercise
HAVELSAN supported the joint operation with three systems working side by side: ADVENT COP for the joint operational picture, the Unmanned Vehicles Video Management System (VMS) and the Web-Based Tactical Maritime Picture (TALAY). Together they formed what the company describes as a strategic infrastructure for joint operations.
| System | What it delivered at TURNAs-2026 |
|---|---|
| ADVENT COP | A shared picture of 40+ naval, air, land and underwater vehicles with position, status and telemetry |
| VMS | Live video from 30+ unmanned vehicles over a common infrastructure |
| TALAY | Web-based access to the tactical maritime picture |
| TURNAs network | Backbone for the Tactical Control Centre and the Distinguished Observers’ Area |
ADVENT COP put 40+ vehicles on a common picture
Introduced for use through cooperation between HAVELSAN and the Naval Forces Command, ADVENT COP was among the capabilities that stood out most in TURNAs. The system placed more than 40 naval, air, land and underwater vehicles on a shared operational picture.
Because scenario-based tasks were displayed together with position, status and telemetry data, different unmanned systems could be directed as one coordinated force instead of a collection of separately controlled platforms.

30+ live feeds and a real-time view of the exercise area
Through VMS, live video from more than 30 unmanned vehicles was made available on a common infrastructure, while TALAY opened access to the tactical maritime picture.
HAVELSAN and the Naval Forces Command jointly established the TURNAs network. Over it, the command-and-control, monitoring and management infrastructure of the Tactical Control Centre and the Distinguished Observers’ Area was operated, and every activity in the field was tracked in real time.

At sea: SANCAR SİDA and USV-12
Fitted with the ADVENT ROTA mission system, SANCAR SİDA added to the tactical maritime picture with reconnaissance, surveillance and target-reporting tasks. Integrated with the ADVENT Combat Management System through Network Enabled Capability, it demonstrated that it can move and work as an organic element of the main ship.
USV-12, developed in cooperation between HAVELSAN and VN Deniz Teknolojileri, performed an autonomous take-off of the SAGAN UAV it carries and fired non-explosive training munitions at a representative coastal target, showing how naval and air elements can be used together.

Admiral Tatlıoğlu visits the Tactical Control Centre
Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu toured the Tactical Control Centre set up by HAVELSAN and the Naval Research Center Command (ARMERKOM) and examined the infrastructure first-hand. Briefed in detail on how ADVENT enables the combined use of elements in different operating environments, he noted that HAVELSAN had successfully taken on the most critical role of the exercise by creating the joint operational picture, and conveyed his thanks to the team.

TURNAs brought the Naval Forces Command’s operational experience together with HAVELSAN’s national engineering capability in the field, preparing the ground for manned and unmanned elements to operate jointly in the Blue Homeland — and delivering the message: “We are ready for the operating environment of the future.”
